What is a qScore?

Learn more about our skill analyses' scoring system.

Traditionally, scores are displayed in percentage format. We display results on a scale of 0.0-5.0, or how probable a user knows a skill.

What is a qScore?

qScore is a QuantHub assessed proficiency score for data fluency, data exploration, data science, data engineering, advanced analytics skills, and more!

The qScore benchmarks are calculated from tens of thousands of assessed analysts and data scientists across all levels of ability.

QuantHub skill tests measure proficiency across data science, data engineering, advanced analytics, and data literacy skills using a computer adaptive test (CAT) engine based on item response theory.

Each test taker receives a unique test, created in real-time, from a large pool of questions ranging in difficulty. Questions are selected based on the test taker’s response to previous questions. A qScore serves as a measurement of the test taker’s ability and knowledge on a specific skill.
