If you have assigned a skill that is not in your students' K12 learning path, they will receive an error code and will not be able to complete the lesson.
If your students see the following error code when they click on a link you have assigned to them, it means that the skill is not yet adapted for the student population, and you will need to request it from QuantHub.
If there are skills that are not currently included in the K12 learning path, don't worry! You can still access, preview, and use these skills in your lessons. However, to give your students the opportunity to "master this skill," you will need to contact us at support@quanthub.com to have it added to their learning path. It's important to note that these skills have not yet been adapted and tested specifically for the K12 audience.
Remember, you can find all QuantHub skills in the skills explorer within "Lesson Plans."
1. To access "Lesson Plans," simply hover over your avatar in the top right corner and select it from the main menu.
2. Select "by skill" at the top of the page.
3. If you come across a skill that you would like to use in your class but is not included in the K12 Citizen Data Scientist learning path, don't worry! You have the option to assign "Scavenger Hunts" to your students. These learning activities are designed to help students explore specific resources and test their understanding with 1-3 questions that cover the key concepts taught in the resource. By assigning these resources, you can ensure that the content complexity is suitable for your students. This way, you can customize the learning experience and make sure it aligns with your teaching goals.
When assigning scavenger hunts, teachers have the flexibility to determine the appropriate level of complexity for their class. QuantHub content that has not yet been curated and adapted for the K12 population may contain contexts and complexity that are more suitable for adult workforce development. If you come across a skill that includes content relevant to your course but is not part of the K12 path, we encourage you to reach out to us. We can work together to create a supplemental path tailored to your specific needs.
