Master a skill when you have achieved 100% skill strength.
Find your skill strength percentage in two places:
1. From your learning dashboard under the skill title
2. From within a study activity
Your skill strength percentage is based on QuantHub's proprietary algorithm and is the best possible measurement of how well the learner understands the skill. With skill strength, the learning process is rewarded with progress toward mastery and the learner is constantly reassessed.
When a learner starts practicing a skill, the skill strength starts at 0. As the learner answers questions correctly, the skill strength percentage increases. If a question is answered incorrectly, the percentage decreases. However, the skill strength is not just based on the percentage of questions correct. It is calculated using many factors, including the number of questions completed, question difficulty, and learner confidence. This metric offers superior accuracy in assessing student achievement.
A skill is mastered when the skill strength reaches 100%, but the number of questions it takes to master a skill varies with every learner. To continuously motivate learners, QuantHub recommends setting other practice milestones along the way to mastery. A percentage of 80% is good, and a score of 90% is considered excellent. When a learner finally achieves skill mastery, you can be confident that they truly understand the skill.
